Overview

Nusa Penida is Bali's wild sister island, with the most dramatic coastline in the region. We handle the boat tickets, the harbour and a private car with a local driver on the island, so all you do is look.

This is the classic west-coast loop. The roads on Penida are narrow and bumpy, so we keep it to four stops and give you real time at each.

Itinerary

Times are a guide. It's your private day, so we can move things around.

  1. Hotel pickup

    Transfer to Sanur harbour.

  2. Fast boat to Nusa Penida

    Your island driver meets you at the harbour.

  3. Kelingking Beach

    The T-Rex viewpoint. The steep path to the beach is optional and only for fit, sure-footed walkers.

  4. Broken Beach & Angel's Billabong

    A natural rock arch and a clifftop tidal pool. Only swim in the Billabong when your driver says the sea is calm.

  5. Lunch

    A local restaurant on the island.

  6. Crystal Bay

    Beach time and snorkelling from the shore.

  7. Fast boat back to Sanur

    Your Bali driver is waiting at the harbour.

  8. Back at your hotel

    Drop-off anywhere in South Bali or Ubud.

Questions

Is it OK for kids or older travellers?

Yes for the viewpoints, which are close to the car park. Skip the Kelingking beach path. The bumpy roads can be tiring, so we pace the day.

Can we see the east side instead?

Yes. Diamond Beach and the Thousand Islands viewpoint make a great east loop. Ask us.
